Book and Bible Studies at FUMC
The study of our faith as Christians isn't limited to Sunday morning. First United Methodist Church provides several opportunities to further our knowledge in the company of like-minded people as part of group book and Bible studies. Below are several of the current opportunities. Check back often as new opportunities are frequently added.
Other ongoing Bible studies:
College and Career Bible Study:
Initially formed 10 years ago, this topical Bible study joins post-high school young adults aged 18-25+ in a lively discussion of subjects of interest to those in college or at the place of embarking on a career. The study is hosted on Monday nights by Paul and Janis Trone at their home, 1904 Gambel Quail Court. Dinner is at 7:30 with the study beginning at 8:00. While there is no advertised ending time, things usually wind down by around 9:15-9:30. For more information, contact Paul at (575)302-6556 or by email at pjtrone@hotmail.com. You can also visit their Facebook page, Monday Night at the Trone's.
Youth Bible Study
Led by our Youth Director, Charlie Stevens, this Bible study focuses on the issues facing our youth from ages 12-18 that are in 6th through 12th grade. It meets on Sunday nights in the Youth Room from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. For more information, call Charlie at the church at (575)885-3142 or email him at charlie@fumcarlsbad.org.
