The Contemporary Worship Service at FUMC closes out our Sunday morning activities.  Beginning at 10:45, this service is filled with people dressed from casual to formal and worshipping in whatever way is most meaningful for them.  You will see worshipers standing with arms raised and eyes closed, sitting with arms folded and eyes open and everything in between.  The music is presented in an adult contemporary style and is led by the FUMC Praise Team featuring both acoustic and electric instruments.  The music selections are a mix of contemporary worship songs, familiar choruses, and re-imagined hymns.

All ages are represented in the congregation of this welcoming and diverse worship service which, on any given Sunday might include a movie clip, a dramatic presentation or a special musical piece, but always includes an opportunity to respond to the love of God.  Come join us this Sunday at 10:45 and see for yourself how comfortable and satisfying a worship service can be.

 

 The First United Methodist Praise Team, directed by Gavin Mack, is made up of a mix of people ranging in age from senior high to senior citizen and includes business owners, police officers, teachers, retirees, and others from all walks of life. This wonderful group of volunteer worship leaders, all accomplished musicians, serve God with their hearts and their talents. While none are professional musicians, some have played or sang on the Praise Team for nearly 10 years.
